Entrepreneurship Week
The ’Entrepreneur Week’ program focuses on developing entrepreneurial skills through hands-on learning in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams. This year students will travel to Ohrid, North-Macedonia, where they will create a business idea from scratch, improving their skills for innovation and creation. The week will allow students to engage with diverse cultures, improve communication and collaboration skills, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Students will gain insights into global issues, cultural differences, and their own cultural assumptions.
During the week, students will tackle a challenge proposed by a local institution and develop solutions. The week concludes with a final event where students present their solutions to local ecosystem partners. The program fosters collaboration between universities, policymakers, and regional economic communities.
Key benefits for students include:
- Developing communication skills, including pitching
- Strategic thinking from interacting with other creators.
- Mentorship from coaches and business leaders.
- Networking opportunities with startups, CEOs, and business decision-makers.
- Constructive feedback to build self-confidence.
The biggest outcome will be the creation of solutions to real problems faced by SMEs, startups, and companies. Students will present their solutions in short reports, and academics will create a Handbook on sustainable and intercultural entrepreneurship training.
